Gijsbert wint CPS-Scriptieprijs
Gijsbert van Elven has won the thesis award from the Center for Policing and Security with his graduation thesis “Indicator versus Intuition. An experimental study on the effect of reliability indicators on police officers’ trust in algorithmic recommendations.” This thesis was written by a student within the ALGOPOL project and at the National Police Lab AI. In this thesis, Gijsbert investigates the impact of artificial intelligence on the decision-making processes of police officers and when artificial intelligence is considered reliable.
